Another image from our Panasonic Batteries Androids commercial.
The robots were modeled and animated in LightWave. Each robot
(male and female) took 2 weeks to build and rig. We did alginate
casts of the actor's faces and then digitised them using a Microscribe
arm and Vertisketch plugin. The facial expressions were endomorphs
animated with morph mixer. The final compositing was done on After
Effects. The background is a matte painting based on a photograph
of the real location.
